Mornings are my favorite time of day when I can fuel up with fruit. I love to break my fast with acai bowls because they contain tons of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Acai bowls can also improve cholesterol levels. The antioxidants, along with other vitamins found in acai, have anti-cancer properties. Can you believe this fruit can reverse cancer cells? Not to mention, it’s an excellent source of brain food.
Tip: Have this bowl for breakfast for an extra boost in brain function.
Ingredients
- 1 packet of Açaí Roots organic smoothie pouch
- 4oz of apple juice
- 1 banana
- 3 strawberries
- Hodgson Mill Travel Flax and Chia packet
Directions
Add the Açaí Roots Organic Smoothie Pouch, 4 oz of apple juice or coconut water, and one banana in a blender for about 60 seconds or until pureed. (You want the consistency to be thicker than a smoothie so you can scoop with a spoon in a bowl). Once poured into a bowl, you can start dressing with your toppings. I crushed some cashews for my topping, but you can add any form of nuts or granola. Layer strawberries and scatter chia seeds, as seen in the picture above. Bon appetite!
